So, I know I am super lame and have taken some time off from the whole blogging but I decided that I better start updating, so here it is.
The semester is over in about 4 1/2 weeks and a lot of my friends are graduating and becoming real adults... it is a little sad because I will still be here, oh well... my time will come! I am currently the President of the BYU-Idaho College Republicans and I am loving it. We are recovering from a major loss this year but we are trying our best to stay positive and working hard to bring things back! Just a few weeks ago I went to a Lincoln Day Banquet (Lincoln is HUGE in the Republican party!) and I was asked to speak at the Fremont County (the next county over) Monthly Republican meeting on the 19th of this month. I was asked to speak about the young people in the Republican party and all that we have done to promote conservative values across the country with all of our deployments that we go on! I am super excited about it.
I am working at the Admissions Office here at BYU-Idaho and I love it! It is so much fun and all the people here are so great, it is like a family away from home. Classes are super stressful and frustrating but I like most of them. I am loving learning about all the political aspects of so many different areas of the world we live in, me being a political science major and all. I am getting really close to graduating. I have about 3 semesters left so I am winding down my stay here in Rexburg. As much as I have loved living here, I am defiantly ready to go out and see where I bloom! I am not sure what I want to do when I graduate, there are so many options for me and so many things that I am interested in I am not sure where I should go, but we will see!
Rexburg has been its usual self thins winter... COLD and SNOWY, two of my not so favorite things! But now that I have Snowflake the Autobot (My cute little car) things are a little less cold and frustrating! When Magnum the Autobot died things were tough, but then I got Snowflake and she is great!
My roommates are amazing. I currently only have 4 of them, one recently moved out after a scandal occurred within our apartment. I have built an amazing friendship with Catherine, she is one who I lived with last semester. Her and I are planning on taking our show on the road... we are pretty gosh darn funny! We have even thought about putting together and all girls "Queen" tribute band, we are going to call it "King"... just a plan right now but it would be pretty awesome!
Over the summer my parents moved to Ellettsville Indiana, a small town just outside Bloomington, where the University of Indiana is, and they LOVE IT!!! Tanner and Reagan are adjusting very well to the new form of life out there in "Rural America'' but they seem to be liking it just fine.
A few months ago I applied for a Ronald Reagan Student Leader Scholarship and I am still waiting to hear back about that. Getting that Scholarship would be amazing, it would help me out so much. I am also working with someone in my office here to get a scholarship for my grades, and that seems to be headed in the right direction so we will see where things end up.
My life is pretty much the same as ever with a lot more stress that is not really wanted, but it is a part of life. I am still unsure as to what I am going to do this summer. If I can get a well paying job in California then I will most likely end up there, but if I can not get a job in CA, then I am going to go to Indiana and work somewhere out there. It is all about where the jobs are.
For now that is all I have. I am sure there will be something else to report soon! I promise to be better with the updates and postings. I will have new pictures soon too.
