It has been a long time

It has been a while since I last posted so I have decided it was time I added some new stuff!

In the Winter I applied for a scholarship and I got it. As part of my scholarship I was able to attend the Young America's Foundation National Conservative Student Conference at George Washington University In Washington DC. It was AMAZING!! I can not even begin to describe how fantastic it was. I met so many amazing people who will be life long friends. I was abot to hear from so many amazing people within the Consevative Movement who rallied us youngsters to want to fight for the cause. I feel like I am armed and ready to combat the Leftest media and crazies who are ruining the country more then ever before!

I am getting ready to go back to school to begin my Senior Year. I have decided that I want to go get my Masters Degree in Government when I am done at BYU-Idaho. I figure that would be a good thing to have if I want to get involved in politics and work for some 3 lettered agency! shhhh don't tell ;)

I know this is short but it is all I have for now! Here are some pictures from the trip to DC!!

SUMMER... Begins

Here I am back in good old California, working at a temp agency. For this week I was at TNT and TBS, Turner Broadcasting Company. It has been super slow but a fun job. School has been out for about a week and I love not having classes. I drove home and stopped off in Provo and hung out with my sister Amanda and then went to Vegas and stayed with my Aunt and Uncle and their 8 month old baby. I had Easter with them. We went to church and there was a very nice program with all music, it was amazing. Dinner was great, ABC made some yummy-ness. I had to cut my trip short to come home to work, I got a temp job out of the blue, which was nice, but the drive home... NOT so nice. I left Vegas at 6:00pm and did not get into Burbank until after 11:00pm... in case you are not sure, Vegas is 3.5 hours away from Burbank UGH traffic sucks!! So I am home and just hanging out, waiting to see if I can get a permenat job for the summer. I am excited to catch up with old friends and just be me, with no classes and grades to worry about.

I went to an employee screening of 17 Again last night and it was really good. I was super surprised as to how good it was. Oh Zac Efron, stop being so cute ALL the time.

Summer has begun and there are lots of things to hope for: Like not being accused of a crime, and being interrorgated by over-zealous cops, not arguing with the University about organizations and people thinking for themselves. I am ready for a nice long break!

The NEVER Ending Saga of my Life

Okay, I am sure you are wondering how my life could get any more amazing but I have another one for the record books. As you may know I am the President of the Brigham Young University Idaho College Republicans. On Friday April 3, 2009 at 4:30pm I was informed by one of the Vice Presidents of the University that College Republicans and College Democrats had been disbanded. The new policy had been in effect for a month and we were just hearing about it a month later, we had no say in this decision and now we are just supposed to sit back and let them go with it. We have been meeting with our advsior and his wife and we have another meeting tomorrow the 7 of April to furthur discuss the issue. I am not sure what that is going to accomplish since the Universtiy has already made their decision and without input from the students that this is going to affect the most, those who are politically active and care about things that affect them. There is a time and a place to begin to infringe on people right to do things and this is not one of those times. NOW is the time to be hopeing that young people are being educated and learning about the things that will affected them more then they every thought. Apathy is running wild in this country and by forcing students to not be educated and not care and not speak up about things they are passionate about will only increase the apathy in this country and make an even lazier generation.

The Semester is Coming to a Close, and NOT a Moment too Soon!

Oh this semester, how it is been a huge trial, but according to everyone, it is a HUGE learning experience. It is coming quickly to an end, and I can not even express how excited I am for that. Last weekend I went to Jerome with Catherine, to see her parents. We needed a serious break from good old Rexburg. We had a blast, just being us and not worrying about whether or not we were going to be arrested for a crime we did not committ!

Catherine and I being so awesome at life we had
to take it outside!

We met this really sweet Elk adn he wanted to take
a Picture with us, how could we refuse?!

The weekend before that we had a little party at the Nates House. The Nates are my Rexburg parents and they take really good care of me! We played Rock Band 2 for like 4 hours it was so fun!! I even got out a bandana and tied it onto my head like Brett Michaels from Bus of Love, it was awesome!!

Our Band, Team Amazing, getting pumped
for the big show! Ellie was not into our rockin
Band!!!

There really are no words for this one!!!

I have decided that I am going to be going back to CA for the summer. My mom and I talked and we decided that I would have more opportuinites down there. We are working on me maybe going back out to Indaina(I have never been there) for a little bit and the end of the summer, we will see what happens. I am excited to get out of here, it did not even matter where I was going to go!

Oh, I have almost died twice in the last 2 weeks.... I am not making that up in the least. Last week Catherine and I were driving around and we almost got hit by a moose, yes WE almost GOT hit BY the Moose, we did not almost hit the moose. And then last night some idiot was driving on the wring side of the road and almost plowed right into me, good like I have reflexes like a cat and was able to move out of the way. I think it is definantly time for a fresh look at life and a reset button push is in need!

My 21st birthday is coming and I am trying to convince my parents to get me a gun... they do not think I am capable of operating such a machine... oh but they are soooooo wrong!!! I have proof that I can work that gun, own that gun!!

Like Jack Bauer, I shoot to kill!

Oh my crazy life!

Oh my crazy life is slighly an understatment. About a month ago my roommate noticed some cash she kept in her room was missing. She asked us about it and then decided to call the police and file a report over $50. CRAZY I know, but that is not the half of it. I was interviewd by the officer who came to my house very briefly and I gave my statement, then a few hours later I had to come home because the police were coming back to interview us again. I was in with the cop for like 45 mins, I think I was in there the longest of all my roommates. I gave my story and then that was it. My roommate moved out into another apartment and we all thought it was done adn over with... NOPE, we were wrong!! Monday I was minding my own business walking home from class and I get a call from the Rexburg Police Department asking me to come down and talk to a Detective about the "missing" money. I called a lawyer and got some advice and then went down there yesterday and told the Detective exactly the same thing I told the officer the first 2 times... He asked me if I would be willing to take a polygraph to prove I was telling the truth. I said I would but the entire time I was thinking... Are you kidding me a polygraph (that is not admissible in court) over $50 that I am pretty sure NO ONE stole...Okay, if it comes to that I might die of laughter. The Detective had no idea that I trained with Jack Bauer and NOTHING can shake me!!

So other then being in an interrogation room for 30 mins, I am going to the Fremont Republicans Meeting tomorrow night to speak about young activism in the Republican Party and the things that the College Republicans have done in preserving conservative values. I am still loving school as much as possible with everything that is going on. I am going to Jerome Idaho this weekend with my roommate Catherine (that is where she is from) to get away from the drama of Rexburg, I am so excited!!

We will see how things pan out with everything. My dad called last night and called me Inmate 8675309....Oh Dad, stop that!! I am just living my life and loving as much of it as possible. I have great friends and I am making new ones and getting to know lots of new awesome friends. Trying to find the positive in thigns really is the best way to go.

For now, Inmate 8675309 is signing out and will be back after the speech to report how it went!

Holy long awaited Update BATMAN!!!

So, I know I am super lame and have taken some time off from the whole blogging but I decided that I better start updating, so here it is.
The semester is over in about 4 1/2 weeks and a lot of my friends are graduating and becoming real adults... it is a little sad because I will still be here, oh well... my time will come! I am currently the President of the BYU-Idaho College Republicans and I am loving it. We are recovering from a major loss this year but we are trying our best to stay positive and working hard to bring things back! Just a few weeks ago I went to a Lincoln Day Banquet (Lincoln is HUGE in the Republican party!) and I was asked to speak at the Fremont County (the next county over) Monthly Republican meeting on the 19th of this month. I was asked to speak about the young people in the Republican party and all that we have done to promote conservative values across the country with all of our deployments that we go on! I am super excited about it.
I am working at the Admissions Office here at BYU-Idaho and I love it! It is so much fun and all the people here are so great, it is like a family away from home. Classes are super stressful and frustrating but I like most of them. I am loving learning about all the political aspects of so many different areas of the world we live in, me being a political science major and all. I am getting really close to graduating. I have about 3 semesters left so I am winding down my stay here in Rexburg. As much as I have loved living here, I am defiantly ready to go out and see where I bloom! I am not sure what I want to do when I graduate, there are so many options for me and so many things that I am interested in I am not sure where I should go, but we will see!
Rexburg has been its usual self thins winter... COLD and SNOWY, two of my not so favorite things! But now that I have Snowflake the Autobot (My cute little car) things are a little less cold and frustrating! When Magnum the Autobot died things were tough, but then I got Snowflake and she is great!
My roommates are amazing. I currently only have 4 of them, one recently moved out after a scandal occurred within our apartment. I have built an amazing friendship with Catherine, she is one who I lived with last semester. Her and I are planning on taking our show on the road... we are pretty gosh darn funny! We have even thought about putting together and all girls "Queen" tribute band, we are going to call it "King"... just a plan right now but it would be pretty awesome!
Over the summer my parents moved to Ellettsville Indiana, a small town just outside Bloomington, where the University of Indiana is, and they LOVE IT!!! Tanner and Reagan are adjusting very well to the new form of life out there in "Rural America'' but they seem to be liking it just fine.
A few months ago I applied for a Ronald Reagan Student Leader Scholarship and I am still waiting to hear back about that. Getting that Scholarship would be amazing, it would help me out so much. I am also working with someone in my office here to get a scholarship for my grades, and that seems to be headed in the right direction so we will see where things end up.
My life is pretty much the same as ever with a lot more stress that is not really wanted, but it is a part of life. I am still unsure as to what I am going to do this summer. If I can get a well paying job in California then I will most likely end up there, but if I can not get a job in CA, then I am going to go to Indiana and work somewhere out there. It is all about where the jobs are.
For now that is all I have. I am sure there will be something else to report soon! I promise to be better with the updates and postings. I will have new pictures soon too.

Presidential Debate number 1

Here we are, roughly a month away from the most important day in history and we get to see first hand how the candidates act under pressure. I think that McCain won this debate hands down. That has nothing to do with my high dislike of Obama. I can not remember how many time Obama said that McCain was right... I mean shouldn't Obama have his own ideas about what is right?!?! I am just sayin'. McCain wiped Omaba out in this.

When McCain told the story of the soilders braclet that he was asked to wear by the soilder's mother, and then Obama just out of nowhere happens to have a bracelet just like McCain...I am thinking Obama really wants to be just like McCain.

I liked how McCain joked about how he has been called the Sheriff in the Senate and he did not win Miss. Congeniality this year!! I laughed so hard at that.

Obama stuttered like no other in this debate... No Teleaprompter!!!!

I am pleased with McCain and how he handled the questions. He did bring up Vietnam and his service there, which he never does. He truly knows what it takes to be a leader and fight for this country, because he has done it and continues to do it. Obama has done nothing to show his true love for his country.

Watch out Joe Biden... the Hockey Mom is on her way!!!!!!
